SBE Leadership Development Course
About the Course
This course covers the function and nature of your leadership role; how to build stronger teams and effective internal cooperativeness; the complex differences of people; and discovery of your “natural” style of leading and how to nurture a “developed” style to help you adjust to different people in differing situations.
SBE has presented the SBE Leadership Development Course since 1997 (NAB sponsored this course from 1965 to 1995). This intense course is designed specifically for broadcast engineers who have or aspire to have management responsibilities. SBE offers the course in cooperation with instructor Rodney Vandeveer, a professional leadership and management trainer and associate professor of organizational leadership and supervision at Purdue University.
Designed to take technically-adept people and instill in them sound leadership, supervisory and management skills, the SBE Leadership Development Course is equally beneficial for those who are already in management and for those without prior management or supervisory experience.
The course fee of $580 (subject to change) includes all instruction, materials, breaks and completion certificate. Lodging, meals and transportation are additional. Join the more than 1,000 other broadcast engineers who have taken this course over the last 45 years.
