Upon receipt of a recertifcation application seeking to synchronize two certifications, together with the full fees for both certifications, the recertification points required to satisfy both shall be limited to satisfaction of the published requirements for the superior certification grade. The "superior" grade is that which requires the most certification points.
The following is offered as an example: Applicant submits a request to sync his CBNT (which expires in 7/06) with his renewal for CPBE. His application includes 30 recertification points across 4 categories. This application meets the requirements for CPBE renewal and automatically synchronizes with his CBNT - both of which will now expire in January 2011.
