General Description of the Position's function and purpose:
Provides customer service and technical support of the DMC and its tenant's missions on a 24-hour per day, 7-days per week basis. Customer service includes authorizing IRDs, database entries associated with authorizing IRDs, suspend IRD authorization and confirm authorization or suspense of IRDs via e-mail to originator of the request and DEE, and monitor return satellite signals. When required, confirm cue transmission via the Watch Dog computer, receipt and transmission of Stars and Stripes and Burli Wire Transmission. Equipment failure, absence of the satellite return signal, or a portion thereof, or a degradation of signal quality shall be recorded daily and submitted, via e-mail, to the Shift Supervisor and DEE for Government review.
