As a senior member of the Technical Services team, the Senior Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership for the design, build, and commission services for various video, broadcast, and digital media initiatives. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for overall system and subsystem design, technical drawing and documentation, equipment specification, as well as system and equipment configuration. The Senior Engineer will also interface with clients at multiple levels, ranging from pre-sales consultation to project completion handoff.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Provides all levels of media systems design depending on project staffing and schedule requirements. Creates overall functional design for review with client.
2. Aids in team coordination, demonstrates mature team and client interface, and demonstrates a high and consistent level of good engineering and business judgment. Makes creative use of internal tools and systems in design, commissioning and consulting work. Anticipates problems and works efficiently to correct any problems discovered.
3. Acts in a lead or key engineering role on largest projects, and be responsible for overall design coordination and consistency, project design standards and design quality assurance as well as detailed task assignments for other engineers and drafters.
4. Responsible for quality control and project consistency. Able to provide input regarding internal tools development and documentation support for engineering staff. Maintains awareness of new equipment and tools developments and industry operating practices.
5. Secondary responsibilities, consistent with individual's skills and corporate needs, may be assigned as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Five years of increasing responsibility in medium to large scale television and related systems design required.
2. Must be competent in a wide range of primary signal systems designs, including audio, video, control, time code, and communications as commonly practiced in domestic network or first class broadcast, production or post production facilities.
3. Competence in human factors design issues is required.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret appropriate functional requirements and perform all levels of detailed design; capable of organizing and sharing appropriate work assignments within a design team.

Ability to exercise sound judgment, be able to plan, be well organized, timely, discreet and detail oriented. Excellent writing and verbal skills a must. Must have a proven level of competency in all areas of TV and radio technical engineering, i.e. audio processing, RF technology, station automation, air and production studio design and construction. Must have computer knowledge and operating skills.

Experience:

Minimum of Five (5) years broadcast engineering experience. Management experience a plus.

Duties:

Monitor, evaluate, manage and provide the hands-on technical expertise to ensure maximum operating efficiency in supporting the strategic initiatives of the TV and radio stations. Manage the building facility functions on an as needed basis.
