Course Description

Bob Tarsio, cofounder, President and CEO of Broadcast Devices presents this two part series that focuses on (Part 1) RF Power Measurements  and Factors that Impact Accuracy and (Part 2)

Multiplex over AES Switching, Distribution and Careful Cable Management.  In Part 1, calibration issues will be discussed as well as directional coupler characteristics needed for accurate power and VSWR measurements.  Part 2 focuses on Multiplex over AES Switching, Distribution and Careful Cable Management. The discussion will include issues arising out of the new standard include proper choice of cables and terminations when managing AES over Multiplex in a  transmitter plant.

 

About Your Instructor - Bob Tarsio

Bob Tarsio is the cofounder, president and CEO of Broadcast Devices which was founded in 1985. Mr. Tarsio spent time as a chief engineer in NYC at New York’s WLTW FM, WAXQ FM and WCBS FM. Mr. Tarsio also spent time as a digital television and new technology specialist as director of engineering at Viacom, Inc. a major media company headquartered in New York City. Mr. Tarsio holds a BS Majoring in Physics and Engineering from Pace University, Pleasantville, NY. Mr. Tarsio holds a General Class Radio Telephone license, an Amateur Advanced licensed and a private pilot license.
