The SBE operates three e-mail discussion lists for members. Only current SBE members are eligible to participate, except for SBE EAS Exchange. Not a member of SBE? Join now.

The SBE Roundtable

The SBE Roundtable is an e-mail discussion group created to facilitate discussions about the Society and exchange information and ideas about broadcast and media engineering. Suitable topics include questions about the SBE, its programs and services; requests for broadcast technical assistance; equipment for sale or wanted from individuals or stations (not dealers); job openings and positions sought. In other words, the topics discuss the SBE or help you or other engineers do their jobs better.

SBE-chat

SBE -chat is for SBE members to discuss anything that does not fit the guidelines of the Roundtable. Personal interests, hobbies, past careers and non-technical broadcast issues are ideal for SBE-chat.

SBE EAS Exchange

The SBE EAS Exchange is dedicated to the discussion of issues related to the Emergency Alert System. The SBE EAS Exchange is moderated by SBE EAS Education Chair Ralph Beaver, CBT.  SBE membership is encouraged to participate on the EAS Exchange, but it is not required.

Participants are encouraged to discuss implement ion, equipment issues or the latest related FCC activity, share EAS failures or success stories, etc.
